Need help with correct code for Trach site bleeding...there was brisk bleeding coming from region of left thyroid isthmus/lobe...physician used bipolar cautery to control and Bovie cautery was used to resect portion of the strap muscle to get to site of bleeding...CPT 17250 seems too inadequate and 42961 refers to oropharyngeal bleeding...any suggestions as to what the correct CPT would be???
