Does anyone have any documentation from CMS on what the Training NP can document. She is not employed by the group. She is finishing her training by being in a physician's office. Can she document anything since she in not employed by the group? I need book chapter and verse to provide information to physicians who allow NP's to shadow them.

That is correct!!

He/She can only document what the current discipline of his/her status

CMS Billing/Coding guidelines is a excellent reference for any provider type.
