My pod did amputation of toes 1-3 for gangrene, osteotmyelitis, he also took metatarsal heads of same (which i know is included) and told pt prior that this may require staged procedures of same foot.

he went back in 2 days later and did "transmetatarsal amputation" would you code the 28805 even though he already took 3 toes and part of the mets? or should i use 28122

any advice?
