If A Patient Is In Observation, And Is Treated By Other Than The Attending Doctor After Being Placed On The Floor, Would You Code Epf Exam, Epf Hx, Moderate Level Of Decision Making, Provider Has Never Seen Patient Before 99202? Thanks

Observation is outpatient

Observation status is the same as outpatient.

You would bill the appropriate outpatient / office E/M - whether consult, new patient or established patient.
