When a doctor does a "trigger point " inj's x30 how would that be coded? (neck,back,lat epicond)
 
20552 if it is only 2 muscle groups or 20553 for 3 or more muscle groups. You can not code per injection as the code states single or multiple trigger points. So if there is 7 injections in the ab area, 9 in the neck and 17 in the leg you would code 20553, if there were 15 in the ab and 15 in the leg you would only code the 20552
