Our OB was told by another OB that he bill's his OB's per trimester and bills the delivery and postpartum visits separately, says he gets paid better. Is it okay to bill this way? If so, how do I bill for the trimesters? Do I use 59425/59426 and how do I break it down?:confused:
 
No the physician is breaking the global charges, unless the patient changes insurance the pregnancy is a one time fee. I'm surprised the insurance company has not caught on to what is being done.
