I was wondering if anyone else has issues on a regular basis with cpt 76000 hitting edits against other procedures (especially endoscopic ones). I code same day surgeries for CAH and I'm still relatively new at it. I have found some guidance regarding the use of -59 with this code (when the fluoro is for a separate or distinct issue apart from the surgery site). The two examples I can remember off the top of my head are 76000 and Cystoscopy with stent insertion and 76000 and ORIF (sorry dont have those CPTs memorized). I find that its getting added even when the doc is essentially just checking his work/alignment which I thought was incorrect usage. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
