Wiki Tubal Ligation vs Salpingectomy

I am having a hard time determining whether the doctor performed a tubla ligation or a complete bilateral salpingectomy. the path report states they recieved tubes but on many of the cased this was a just a portion that was cut and sent to pathology. Is there a specific wording that will tell me the difference between the two procedures?
