I am looking for some help on the following:
The cystoresectoscope sheath over a visualizing obturator was introduced into the bladder. The bladder was drained and the obturator was exchanged for the working element. Pancystoscopy identified one 4x4 CM PREVIOUSLY RESECTED AREA in the right anterolateral bladder walls COVERED WITH WHITE AND BROWN TISSUE OF UNCERTAIN NATURE. THE ENTIRE AREA WAS RE-RESECTED entirely to the level of muscle and sent for pathology. The resection bed was cauterized to achieve maximal hemostasis.
Then, the bladder was drained, an 20Fr , 2 ways Foley catheter was placed in the bladder and its balloon filled with 15 cc of normal saline. The catheter irrigated easily to light pink. _ The patient was then brought out of anesthesia without complications and taken to the PACU in stable condition.
Thank you.
