NCCI holds 52235 as a column 2 edit for 52356

But has a "1" in the Modifier to unbundle column

What type of situation would qualify to unbundle this pair?

My provider did both of these in the same session therefore I'm pretty sure I'm not able to unbundle it and only bill for 52356. As it is listed as the more extensive procedure.

Am I on the right track?

If there treating a lesion/tumor 52235 and a stone 52356. That would justify both.
Not sure if your meaning to code 52355 or 52354 in place of.
