I have a patient that had a consult with a PA in the pulmonary/chest med department in the morning for his sleep issues and was set up for a sleet study later in the fall. Later that afternoon, this patient saw a different provider in the same department, but for a different issue, cough and reactive airway disease.
Is there a way we can we charge for both since there are different issues with each visit? Thank you
 
Are they of the same specialty? If so you would combine the times (documentation)together and bill under one for a higher level. If different specialties bill out both.
