Hi,

I have a question regarding the new breast U/S code.

If an U/S screening is done on BOTH breasts what do you report:

1- 76641-50
2- 76641 No modifiers
3- Report 76641 twice ? with RT and LT
4- 76641 twice with NO modifiers

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I would probably code it 76641 LT and 76641 RT. The note in CPT says it is unilateral and to report it once per breast per session.
