Medicaid patient.....has a 81002 done at each visit......I was under the impression that this is included in the antepartum visit and not separately billable.....my doc is telling me he had a TMHP rep tell him it is separately billable?????
 
According to CPT guidelines, the UA is included in the routine prenatal care. Medicaid rules can vary from state to state. Check your local Medical guidelines. I'd be surprised if you could, but it wouldn't be the first time Medicaid rules made me scratch my head...
