I work in a pain management group and was wondering if you perform a UDS on a patient can you immediately send it for confirmation and only bill the Confirmation without the screen? My understanding of a confirmation was to confirm what came back on the drug screen. Is this correct? How can you bill a confirmation without billing the initial drug screen (G0431).
Please help! Thank you!
