I am getting so many answers and unsure. I was looking at the depth but the provider also put " non excisional " which now I am confused. By reading this op note would you think it should support 11042 or 97597. I was leaning more to 11042 due to depth and type of tissue.

This is just poor documentation. If a scalpel was used and the debridement was done down into and including subq tissue, then 11042 is appropriate as it is "sharp selective debridement". Not sure why the term "non excisional" is even in the note.
