We have some going back and forth on how we should bill the ultrasound after EVLT surgery. We have some saying that it is bundled and part of the global package.
The ultrasound (93970, 93971) is done in the office about one week after surgery to ensure there is blood sufficiency through the vein. the sugery codes billed are 36478, 37766, and 37722.
In my research so far i have found that yes we can bill it. Some say with 93970/93971 and the others say 76970.
I feel that the ultrasound should be billed. Also clarification on the code to bill would be great also.
