We've been billing for ultrasound guided IAIs for a while now and now a question as come up.
If we use ultrasound guidance (76882/76942) bilaterally, can we bill it out twice or only once? I've been told we can only bill it out once regardless of it being used bilaterally or not, but now a provider is telling me that someone in our billing department told him we can bill it out twice with a reduced amount billed for the second use. Is that correct???
