Patient had missed AB. Coming back for US to make sure everything's out. Should the US be billed as OB or GYN??

Missed abortion, O02.1 Early fetal death, before completion of 20 weeks of gestation, with retention of the dead fetus. Do you mean that she had a complete spontaneous abortion? Is she having any complications? What is the reason they want to check with u/s? If she has no complications, there really is no reason for the u/s.

I would probably code it as ob and use code O03.9, Complete or unspecified spontaneous abortion without complication.
