Wiki Ultrasound question

My ortho is currently using 76942 for needle guidance for injections, and also wants to use 76882 for limited ultrasound of an extremity. His report states "utilizing ultrasound for needle guidance and limited study, we inject right knee with 20 mg......"

Isnt this the same thing? Help please.

I agree that this is the same thing. When out physicians actually do a limited US study of an extremity they dictate a full report, similar to the x-ray reports, in order to code for this service.
