Can you bill a -laparoscopic choleystectomy 47562 with a umbilectomy 49250. I know 49250 has a separate procedure but would a mod 59 work. ?Did anyone ever come across this situation before. ? :confused:
 
Can you justify separate and distinct? What is the medical necessity? More than likely that was the spot of a port for the laps chole. I'd try to code it if there was a lesion or something that might justify med. nec. If it was part of the access or closure, I wouldn't code for it.
