My Podiatrist has in the op note a small stab incision and direct fluoroscopic guidance into the lateral calcaneus tumor blunt dissection down Calc wall which point Jamshidi needle inserted and roughly 50 cc bone marrow aspirate was pulled off. For this he has given me the CPT code of 20900 - I am billing the professional side and the hospital side has billed this with the unlisted code of 20999. The unlisted code requires a comparable code for billing purposes so I am in need of a comparable code - any help would be appreciated.
