Hello ,
When you bill an unlisted cpt for a service that is a major surgery would you bill with post op global visits or would you bill with EnM billable codes when the patient follows up? The question is due to the fact that an unlisted code would not have a global period attached. I cannot figure out what is correct coding for this situation although , it does not seem right to bill the patient for follow up care when this service cannot be billed with a designated cpt code.
Example - 22842 has to be defaulted to an unlisted due to 22842 being an add on code.
