Hello,

I wanted to see if anyone can tell me how much we are able to collect up front for patients who have a high deductible for a co-insurance amount? I am not sure if there is a certain percentage or is it just a small amount?

Thanks,
Raquel Vera, CPC

If you know exactly how much it will be, you can collect it all up front if you so choose. Just be sure not to collect MORE than that, otherwise you could violate your insurance contracts.

Up Front Collections

We collect the entire amount at the time of visit, no matter if its a co-pay or deductible amount. The only exception we make is for the deductible, if its a recurring patient and is good at paying their balance then we allow them to make teo payments. No exception for co-pays.
