how ever in the op report it states that the Dr. nudge the food obstruction from the esophagas into the stomach. So the foreign body was never removed. They are trying to code 43247, however I feel this is not appropriate. Can someone please assist me? :confused:
 
If the FB is not still in the esophagus, it has been removed. CPT does not clarify the type
of removal. That is how I was trained. :)
