I am learning immunization coding and I need help to determine if SL modifier should be appended to the VFC immunization codes for Ohio Medicaid plans. I have checked the websites and the SL is not on their list of modifiers which was revised 6/2013.
Since the modifier isn't on the list, if the modifier is appended will the claim be denied?
Should we append even though it isn't on their list for statistical reporting?
I want to make sure we are billing these correctly. Thanks.
