I need help deciphering if a therapy practice can bill for two therapies at the same time. The provider is billing code 92507- Speech therapy and 97530- Therapeutic activities with overlapping times. The therapeutic activities state this is a direct (one-on-one) patient contact with the provider. The speech therapy states this is individual and not group therapy. Please advise. If the therapeutic activities requires one-on-one and the speech is individual then I do not believe they can bill these codes if there are two therapies at the same time because one-on-one or individual therapy was not being performed.
Thanks!!!!
