Male patient presents w/ yellow penial discharge. DX code submitted 597.80 (unspecified urethritis)
Labs performed:
86803 (RPR)
87797 (Chlamydia DNA)
87592 (Gonorrhea DNA)
86803 (Hep C titer)
86706 (Hep B surface AB)

All were reimbursed by Aetna except for 87592. (not medically necessary denial)
Please help. Why was this denied/ Our student health clinic does many screenings and this test is always an issue. Any advice?
