I was wondering if anyone is billing this code as bilateral. We were told today that this code is for unilateral or bilateral and should not be billed twice for bilateral. Thanks in advance

CPT Assistant May 2001 indicates that 52005 is a unilateral procedure, therefore the use of modifier -50 would be appropriate for reporting it as bilateral. Hope that helps.
