Hello,
I saw another thread on this but am interested in 2019 resources or guidelines. I have read Dr. Z and the code description and would like to know how others are deciding there is enough documentation to support billing for the guidance on Heart Caths.

Hi! I have not seen any resource or guideline changes for 2019 on 76937. But I can tell you that I have a vascular surgeon that utilizes this code frequently and he always is very detailed in his documentation. His report always includes vessel patency, visualization of needle entry and that the imaging has been preserved for future review. I have never encountered any resource advising that any portion of these elements are optional. In my experience payers will very likely deny or retract payment without all the components being included in the documentation. I hope this helps. :D
