Our Mohs surgeon would like to bill 15004, as surgical preparation or creation of recipient site after MOHS and before complex repair, skin graft, or adjacent tissue transfer. Can the MOHS surgeon bill this code or is preparation site part of the MOHS procedure? Also, we have a plastic surgeon who does closures for our MOHS surgeon, can he bill this code if he deems it necessary inorder to repair the defect created by the MOHS surgery because he is a plastic surgeon (different surgeon) on same date of service? As well a Physican Assistant doing closure/repair procedures working under the plastic surgeon? Thanks !
