Procedure performed: Redo sternotomy for a valve procedure, replace pulmonary valve with RV to PA conduit #23 pulmonary homograph. Physician would like to bill 33530 but states patient had original surgery 26 years ago, can you still bill 33530? Detail of first surgery not given, only that it was to repair tetralogy of Fallot repair, therefore I am unsure of the correct code to use in the 33692 series. Can 33530 be code for a procedure that happen 26 years ago? Or would you recommend just coding the replacement valve procedure? Thanks
