Hello, this topic has been a source of much discussion in Medicaid policy. With the new E/M guidelines there is an issue with whether these codes 99202-99215 can be billed as audio-only services. It is in my interpretation that the changes to the codes were to allow not only the face-to-face (which can be done audio-visual) services but also the non face-to-face services during the visit. But are not intended to be audio-only. Can someone confirm this? Thank you.
