I believe this new HCPCS code would be billable by ECPs who provide long term care for chronic conditions. The question I get a firm answer to is what would be considered a serious/complex condition? Is it the patient with mild glaucoma or mild NPDR or would it apply to higher staged levels of those codes. Same thing with AMD. Would dry AMD qualify or just wet or geographic. If anyone has found any guidance for this, I'd appreciate seeing it.

Hello Dr. Cheezum, I am still learning this specialty. Our educators informed us of this new code and that they will be researching more about its application. If we get any more information on it, I will post here. Thank you for your participation in this forum by answering our questions. And Thank you for sharing with us additional resources on how to earn more CEU for COPC certification. :). I subscribed for ophthalmology Newsletters!
