I had a question regarding a patient that came in for a physical and physical for admission to school program. Now V70.0 is just a "routine general medical examination" and V70.3 is "other medical examination for administrative programs".

My thinking is that since this is the patients regular physical AND physical for school admission I think either or would do but personally I would choose the V70.0.

Since both codes are primary codes only one can be used so I was wondering what code would you choose?

If this claim is going to insurance, I haven't found an insurance who pays for sports physicals. If the patient is under 18 and had a physical (WCC), you would use V20.2.
