Hello Everyone,
I am a coder for the surgery/trauma dept. at a Level 1 Trauma center. We have been having discussions in reference to VAC dressing changes being performed with other major procedures, in particular partial colectomies and exploratory laparotomies. They are not bundled according to the CCI edits. The only procedure we have come across that is bundled with the VAC dressing is a debridement. Does anyone have any information in regards to this? Are any payers giving you a hard time with this scenario.
