Two providers billed for Vaccinations on the same day - Pediatrics Primary Care - Billed CPT 90662 and 90471. Internal Medicine Billed 90750 and CPT 90472 - of course denying for Primary Code Needed. My Question is shouldn't Int Med bill 90750 and 90471?

Is this all for the same patient? If so, I am guessing that they belong to the same group. If they belong to the same group, why are two different providers giving vaccines and why is the patient even seeing a pediatrician AND an internal med doctor??

90662 - Influenza vaccine
90471 - Vaccine administration

90750 - Shingles vaccine
90472 - Vaccine administration, each additional vaccine <-- missing primary vaccine administration

You are correct, the 2nd provider should bill 90471.
