Hello everyone,
I need to get coding assistance on this case:

We have a patient that vaginally delivered twins at 22 weeks and both twins were alive at birth and then both passed after a few minutes. This patient only had 5 prenatal visits would this be coded as a global?

Could we split the bill and is the delivery charges Vag delivery only (59409) and then 59409-59 for twin B?

Please if anyone could help.
Thanks.
DMT

Based on my past experience, the billing of the antepartum care depends on the payor. Some payors want separate E/M visits then the delivery charge(s).
Probably contact the payor.
