What would be the code for vascular disease of the thoracic aorta?

If you are talking about arteriosclerosis of the thoracic aorta then it would be 440.0.

Hello,

Unfortunately the physician does not sspecifically state the type of disease. Just simply that it's vascular disease of the thoracic aorta. This is coming from a outpatient PCP visit note.

Then I guess I would just use a generic code 459.9.
