Does anyone know what code, if any, is appropriate for the video assisted thoracoscopy when done to facilitate anterolateral decompression of a T9-10 HNP? I see a code for a posterior lumbar endoscopically assisted procedure, but not for an anterior thoracic procedure. The other codes are for open procedures. Should I use the anterior discectomy code and append a 52 modifier? This is my first one to code and would truly appreciate any direction you can give me! Thanks
