We are contracted with a private CNM group to provide physician supervision for their VBAC deliveries. Can we bill for this supervision even if the physician never touches the patient? The doc has to leave the office and be onsite and available. If we can, how would we code it?

Our providers do the same, and for the very few of ours that actually deliver vaginally, I use the stand by code 99360 - see what you think.
