Recently we have had a new provider start performing angioscopy of a rt/lt saphenous vein when it has been removed and will be used for a fem-pop bypass (35556). She also does Lysis of the valves and a venovenostomy. I have come up with +35400 for the Angioscopy and +35682 for the venovenostomy (since the veins were harvested from 2 different locations. I am stuck trying to find a code for the Lysis of the valves... is this seperately reportable or is it part of the preperation of the vein for bypass?? Also, if the angioscope is being done on the back table after the saphenous vein has been removed, is it still billable or does it have to be angioscoped while the vein is still in the body??
Please Help!!:confused:
