How to count the ventilator status , if pt. is on and off the ventilator.
for instance he is on ventilator for 10days , he is ok for few days and is again on ventilator for 10 more days - intermittent.
94002 only once or again i need to give this 94002 for the next 10days.
this all happened in the same hospital admission.
guideline states as -
If mechanical ventilation is required to be reestablished after being stopped, a new calculation of total hours is started and two separate codes from category 96.7 are reported - one for each episode of treatment.
