Good Morning All,

I need some help, the doctor I work for would like to bill for checking the valve on a patient along with billing an E/M code ? I know I would need to add the modifier 25 - but what CPT code would I use for checking the valve ?? I am lost.

There is a code for revision but I dont really know that this would warrant billing a separate code because he didnt really revise the valve. Depending on the documentation, I would probably consider this part of the E&M exam and it would go towards the criteria for your E&M.
