I am thoroughly enjoying the AAPC Conference, however the venue is very disappointing. AAPC members reserving via conference registration were price gouged by more than DOUBLE or more. Room does not have modern decor, more like 1980's. Awaken by a disturbance in the hall last night that went on for more than a hour (17 year old caught gambling in the casino & manager and security asking them to vacate the premises. Very expensive lesson learned.

I have been to Las Vegas many times and stayed at various locations, but this was NOT worth the price. Rio typically charges $50 per night, yet they managed to get the attendees for more than 4 times that rate. Rooms were very bland and dated, no phone chargers or even free wifi for guests, and super thin walls with in room air units that did not remain on to drown out excessive noise. I enjoyed the conference and sessions, but I will not waste money or time going to a Las Vegas convention again. I spoke with several members throughout the convention and during my departure, and they were all incredibly disappointed with this one. AAPC needs to step up their game.
