Provider wants to discuss patient management with the family member (via video visit) for a patient with mental issues. The patient is not in right state of mind to talk with the provider and will not be present in the room. PHI is on file and patient has given consent previously to contact the same family member. Can we bill for a visit when patient is not present? Thanks!
