Wiki vulvar skin tag removal

heyy

i know when coding it's suggested to use the most specific location possible but i just wanted to double check if a doctor removes skin vulvar skin tags am i stuck using 11200 or can i use 56605 despite this code stating "lesion" not skin tag

The general guidance is to use a location specific code if it exists. If they are skin tags being destroyed or removed, that is not the same as removing a mass/lump/lesion to biopsy. I would use 11200 for skin tag removal from the vulva. 11200 even states "any area".
