Is it legal to waive the fee for non-covered Medicare items and services? I realize we could get an ABN for these, but what if we just want to provide them and not charge our Medicare patients? Also, I realize we can not waive coinsurance and deductibles for Medicare patients for covered services. I need some documentation from CMS to back up any response I give to our physicians.
