Does anyone have a V code for weight management? Just looking for best code to use. Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
What about using the V65.3 for dietary counseling and surveillance? Unfortunately, the majority of insurance companies will NOT cover weight management. The Children's hospital had an obesity clinic in the state I live in and it was mentioned at a seminar that patient's with an an abnormal weight gain could be coded as the primary and then use the V65.3 as a secondary diagnosis and most insurance's would cover that.
