I code for a Psych ward and my docs are discussing what conditions are covered and not covered and they can't agree. I know that AMS is not specific enough, but I am hearing that Dementia and Psychosis are not either. Is that true? I don't work the denials, I just code. If you know what gets paid generally and what does not due to lack of specificity, please let me know. Thanks.
