Help....need cpt code for interspinous spacer device removal​

 
Can you provide a bit more information about this? Was it removed as part of a bigger case such as removal of anterior or posterior instrumentation? Was it removed/replaced/altered while extending a fusion to additional levels? Was it anterior or posterior, etc? Was exploration of the fusion done?
I would assume if it is solely the interbody device they probably looked around so you may be able to use 22830.
 
any news with this? my doctor removed an old loose spacer (vertiflex) and will replace with a new vertiflex device (22867), isn't the removal already included within the insertion code? or do we have to code the removal (22899) and then the insertion of a new one (22867) ? any help?
